According to reports gathered by GospelGh, the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, T.B Joshua, has announced his decision to relocate his popular church from Nigeria to Israel.
The popular evangelical pastor is said to have announced this during Sunday service on April 30, 2017.
According to the prophet, he had returned from Israel, which is considered the Holy Land by many Christians and had very fruitful discussions with the mayors of three of Israel’s major cities including Jerusalem.
He said he had been offered land there where he could build a church and organise pilgrimages for Christians to Israel’s holy sites.
“This is where my Father in Heaven came from – it’s non-negotiable,” Joshua said, saying that it was not a decision he took lightly. “It’s the best place for you to meet Prophet T.B. Joshua. After your healing, blessing and deliverance, you can move around all the spiritual monuments which will establish your faith,” he added.
He was critical of what he described as persecution that he had endured in Nigeria and how that had influenced his decision to leave the country.
The Synagogue Church of All Nations is one of Nigeria’s megachurches attracting hundreds of worshipers from across the continent and the world including Ghana’s late president John Evans Atta-Mills.
In September 2014, a guesthouse located in the premises of the church collapsed killing at least 115 worshipers.
Meanwhile, reports also say that the federal government has pleaded with Prophet Temitope B Joshua to reconsider his decision to relocate from Nigeria.
The government, through the minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said such a move will not be in the best interest of Nigeria.
